It’s my great honor to invite you to participate in the 2008 IASP-ASPA Joint Conference that will be held in TusPark, Beijing, China on Oct. 22-24, 2008. With the theme of “Gathering, Sharing, Innovating, Developing”, this conference will invite colleagues of IASP and ASPA and experts from new high-tech parks, colleges & universities and research institutions in China and Asia Pacific region.
This joint conference aims at providing a platform and opportunity for people who dedicate themselves to building and operating science parks to meet each other, share achievements and push forward development, and helping them produce sparkles of innovation and cooperation during face-to-face communication and interaction. Attendees will have in-depth discussion on resource integration, regional innovation, network building of joined enterprises, and the balance of social and economic benefits of science parks, and will provide their wisdom & ideas for the building & development of science parks in Asia-Pacific region even over the world, and for the social & economic development of all regions.
The building plan of TusPark was brought forward in 1993, the main park construction was begun in 2001, and the whole park was completed and put into use in 2006. The whole process only took 13 years. With the hard-work of all workmates, multiple building and operation modes including support service systems for sci-tech innovation are being created in TusPark. By assembling excellent enterprises, cohering advantageous elements and focusing various resources, “diamond” enterprises have emerged and are realizing their wildest dreams in the visible TusPark. Up to now, the TusPark has become a commercial science park with the largest scale and the best operation results in China. All people having been here are deeply impressed by our great achievements.
Taking the chance of this Joint Conference, we expect to invite all of you to come to the TusPark to meet old friends and get to know new ones, and to work together to start new international cooperation and communication.
